Castle

Recently my eyes have got an infatuation with a TV series called "Castle."

I started watching it on Star World (or Fox i can't recall) but i absolutely fell in love with it.

But TV shows being TV shows, it was hard to keep track of every single episode in the different series.

So i found another way to watch the seasons of Castle and it was the smartest thing i've ever done!

I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it, but basically it's about a famous novelist who teams up with an NYPD detective (his new inspiration for his books) and eventually starts to fall for her.

It's like Criminal Minds, except there is more humor and is less gruesome.

Characters in the show:

Stana Katic as NYPD Detective Kate Beckett.

What's so great about her character is she's a super sexy cop... with brains & galls.

Nathan Fillion as Richard Edgar Castle aka "Rick"

He was born as Richard Alexander Rodgers, but he adopted the middle name Edgar in honor of Edgar Allen Poe and the last name, well to add some flair for his famosity?

Personally i find his character strangely attractive, with the charm, humor and well, charisma.

Seamus Dever as Detective Kevin Ryan 

He's a part of Beckett's team, and him and his partner work alongside Castle & Beckett.

Actually when i saw Avengers in theatres, i thought he really resembled "Loki" (Tom Hiddleston)

But they kinda have different face shapes.

Molly Quinn as Alexis Castle (Richard's daughter)

She's supposed to be the daughter but in the series she's often the more mature one.

Jon Heurtas as Detective Javier Esposito

He's Ryan's partner and always teases Ryan about his femininity.

Susan Sullivan as Martha Rodgers 

Castle's mom, who is quirky and an actress. Qualities of a cool grandma.

Tamala Jones as Dr. Lanie Parish

A M.E (medical examiner) who is a close friend of Beckett. 

She's always trying to hype up Beckett's otherwise uninteresting social life. Foxy mama.

Ruben Santiago-Hudson as Captain Roy Montgomery

He looks out for his detectives, and he's like the coolest boss ever...

It's an amazing TV series, always keeping me on the edge of my seat (well, bed).

I love murder, grooviness and humor so i guess this is the perfect show for me!

I'm not gonna reveal what goes on on the show, 

wouldn't want to spoil it for those who haven't seen it!

Bits of Koh Samui 2011

Hi guys, i've decided to start blogging again, ok mostly when i feel like it ;)

Haven't been doing much these days, hanging out with friends, giving tuition, watching season after season of Castle, clearing my room (rubbish accumulated over the years) and basically... bumming.

I'll be damned if i didn't say this gap year was amazing...

Anyway, wanted to briefly share about my Koh Samui trip in Dec 2011.

Doug heard about this famous local food stall along the streets which sells soup noodles. I think in Singapore we would call it bee hoon soup. It has a sour and sweet flavor to it (so delicious), along with nuts, bean sprouts, coriander, shrimp and meat slices. Best bee hoon soup i have EVER TASTED.

Funny thing is it looks like any old food stall on the street... which really proves the saying

 "don't judge a book by its cover"

This chick drove her jeep up the slope and parked it like that on purpose.

I have no idea how she got up there.

I don't know if i mentioned this before but the greatest thing i love about staying in Koh Samui is that we live right on the beach, so about 20 steps away from the water. 

And it's so easy to sleep at night with the sounds of the waves.

After a night of heavy duty drinking.

Our hotel (more like a villa resort) has a new year's party every year for the guests.

So naturally it's easy to meet friends from all over the world.

These 2 gorgeous ladies are from Switzerland ooh lala

King and Queen pageant, Erika was dubbed queen. 

Lighting up paper lanterns and letting them go. Beautiful tradition.

An hour after midnight, you'll see hundreds of man made stars in the sky.

Okay someone i will not forget, a sweet german lady i met.

She was alone at the bar one night and i just started talking to her,

and i'm so glad i did. She told me the sweetest story ever.

She owns an ice cream shop in Germany with her husband, and on their anniversary,

her husband brought along a large ice cream scooper thing with them. She was wondering why the hell would you bring an ice cream scooper when we're on holiday? But eventually she got her answer!

Apparently her husband brought it to a jewelry maker and had him custom make a mini version of the ice cream scoop so that she can wear it around her neck all the time... So sweet :)

(ok sidenote, i couldn't figure out if i was spelling jewelry right so i googled it, 

and omg i got mindfucked by the different ways of spelling it... check it out)

Apart from meeting new friends, we did other things like ride an ATV (all-terrain vehicle)

and my mom almost killed me....

I told her if she wanted to, she could just nicely ask me to pop a pill. That way it'd be easier to die.

Berlin!

Hallooo mates, decided to start blogging again!

I realized i needed to start documenting my brain farts,

experiences & daily mundane activities.

So to kickstart my blogathon, I will share pictures of me in Berlin.

Playing with food, of course. I consider chocolate a food group.

I couldn't miss out on the famous curry wurst.

It's bratwurst with a tinge of curry flavor (more specifically curry powder)

I had this thrice in Berlin within a span of 5 days. It is too good...

Although it was freezing over there, we made some time for the Haagen-Dazs buffet!

So we stayed in Berlin for a few days, we went there for the world festival.

Besides that we did sightseeing, eating (mostly by me cuz dad is vegetarian),

shopping (omg shopping at H&M Berlin is amazing thank god i had Winnie with me),

and some relaxing time doing meditation and spiritual activities.

Winnie (daddy's friend) stayed with us in the hotel,

and if she hadn't joined us, i wouldn't have shopped as much as i did... Boots galore!!

Anyway,

after Berlin it was Dubai for few days.

This is my Me-time haven, the hotel lobby in Dubai.

a catastrophic mess

i don't know how long this can go on.
i still can't decide where i'm gonna study next year. it's really frustrating.
all the options are floating in my head and knocking against my skull,
it's giving me a fucken headache.

time and tide waits for no man... so i can't afford to waste anymore time.
options i have:

curtin/james cook in singapore
mdis
kaplan
monash in australia

i would take monash in australia, but i don't know how i'm gonna cope with leaving.
what am i gonna do..............
fuck. please. just give me a god damn sign.

i've missed you

If you're reading this, hats off to you! Wow it's been about 3 months since i've been here.
So much has happened, i decided to take this year off and just relax.
Plus i know myself all too well and if i enter a university just like that,
i wouldn't be able to start off on the right foot.

So far i have worked as a waitress, keyed in data for car rental company,
i went to berlin for the world cultural festival, dyed my hair red,
pierced more holes, partied, sexy encounters, gotten a tattoo....

just kidding about the tat!

But yeah it's been fun :) Probably gonna be the most relaxing phase of my life!
I'll start minding this space more.
Need to change some bad characteristics of myself and this includes one of em.

So it's June already yay :)
I've been sick busy these past weeks thus the lack of posts.
Started a new job and it gets really tiring.... but the people are great :)
Especially being able to spend more time with my mom.

Taking my SATs this weekend, and well i'm worried i won't be able to score
cos i haven't completed the papers.
I should really BURN the hachet with Mr Procrastination,
but his sexy charm............. gets me everytime (sigh)

On a waaayyy happier note, my birthday is next week!
This year feels more mellow...
I guess it's cos i can't celebrate it with all my friends.
Most of em are in army, some have school/work the next day...
And i can't hold it the weekend prior or the weekend after.

Oh well- at least i'll be able to meet my best pals :)

something about me

One thing about me is i've never been able to keep a proper diary.
I'd write about events in my life and my inner thoughts,
but somehow my conscience gets the better of me
and i end up tearing out pages and pages of my journal until it looks like this...

yep, oh the horror... i've spent so much on beautiful journals,
only to rip them apart.

If i write about something good, i'd feel stupid cos i'm too hopeful!!!???
If it's about something bad, lets say conflicts, i'd feel terribly guilty.


I realized in my previous post i might've put my mom in a bad light...
But i just wanna clear it up,
she's an amazing mother, and well... all parents have high expectations mm?

Bottom line is, my mom is the one person in my life i can't be without xxx
